In teaching practice, the most distinctive feature of Jia Junming is the organic integration of professional piano training and psychological guidance. As an expert at the China Institute of Psychology, she deeply understands that learning the piano is not only skill training but also a process of psychological growth and emotional expression. Many teenagers tend to feel nervous, anxious or discouraged during practice and competitions, which affects their learning effect and interest in music. In response to this phenomenon, she focuses on psychological counseling and state adjustment in teaching, helping students relax and build confidence, guiding them to feel music first and master skills later, to enjoy the process first and pursue progress later. In her classes, the piano is no longer a tool for dull and repetitive practice, but a warm and joyful expression of emotion. Students improve their abilities in a relaxed and positive atmosphere and gain happiness and growth through music.
Jia Junming has always believed that the essence of piano education is to educate people. Competitions and honors are only milestones in growth; what truly matters is cultivating students’ love for music, perception of beauty and positive attitude toward life. Therefore, in teaching she emphasizes both solid basic training and the cultivation of artistic aesthetics and humanistic literacy, adhering to professional standards while giving students full understanding and encouragement. She often reminds students and parents that perseverance and passion are essential on the path of piano learning; sincere expression is far more touching than deliberate virtuosity, and a stable mindset and good habits are far more precious than temporary achievements. This people-oriented, music-based educational philosophy has made her deeply loved by students and trusted by parents, guiding generations of teenagers to move steadily forward on the road of music.
From diligent study overseas to silent dedication in domestic teaching, from in-depth academic research to professional judging in international competitions, Jia Junming interprets the original aspiration and mission of a piano artist with concrete actions. She guards her passion with professionalism, lights up education with warmth, and conveys strength through music, writing an extraordinary artistic life on an ordinary post.
In her pursuit of fine art, she has also minored in art philosophy and actively participated in public welfare activities. In her view, music is spiritual, possessing a unique power to connect the inner world at the cultural, psychological and philosophical levels. She insists on cultivating and purifying the mind through music, constantly improving her concepts of art education—especially family education and personal self-cultivation in China—guiding people to perceive truth, goodness and beauty, purify their souls, and gain calmness, wisdom and philosophical thinking from melody, interpreting universal love through musical art.
Looking ahead, Jia Junming stated that she will continue to be rooted in piano education, actively participate in domestic and international artistic exchanges and promotion, constantly improve her teaching concepts and methods, strive to build a growth platform for more teenagers, and contribute to the high-quality development of piano education in China. She has always believed that music has the power to touch the heart directly. She wishes to build a bridge with the piano and a medium with music, allowing more people to feel beauty and gain joy in music, and letting the light of art illuminate more paths of growth.
